Delhi High Court allowed applications seeking impleadment of different political leaders in plea seeking registration of FIRs against politicians for alleged hate speeches during Delhi riots. Justice Siddharth Mridul and Justice Amit Sharma newly added anyone that wish to file response to plea can do so before the next hearing, development came after application filed by Shaikh Mujtaba and Lawyers Voice.Application sort to implead BJP leaders Kapil Mishra,Anurag Thakur,Parvesh Varma and Abhay Varma as respondent no.5 to 8.Lawyers Voice application includes Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi, Manish Sisodia,Amanat Uallah Khan, Akbaruddin Owaisi,Mehmood Pracha,Harsh Mander,Swara Bhaskar,Umar Khalid, Maulana Hamood Raza and BG Kolse patil and others.Bench notes respondents doesnot oppose impleadment except to the extent that the allegations made against them in the said applications were transverse in toto.The matter has listed on August 2.Petitioner also asked for FIR to be registered against political leaders such as Waris Pathan, Asaduddin Owaisi for making inflammatory and hate speeches.Petition filed by Brinda Karat seeks independent investigation into complaints alleging acts, offences and atrocities by members of police,RAF or state functionaries in relation to riots.Last year, Supreme Court had asked Delhi High Court to decide expeditiously, preferably within three months one of the petitioner seeking FIR and investigation against politicians.
