anasam | AksharaDelhi HC |Jun 30, 2022Mr.zubair was arrested onmonday for hurting religious sentiments through his tweet in 2018 against Hindu deity.Advocate Vrinda Grover mentioned the plea against Vacation Bench of High Court,which posted it for hearing on Friday.Local Court on Tuesday extended his Custody for 4 days as he did not co-operate with the Delhi police,he was produced before the court after one-day of custodial interrogation.Police says interrogation was necessary to gather the device from which the tweet has been posted . Zubair's counsel argue that the post made was from 1983 Hindi movie by Hrishikesh Mukherjee,Kissi Se Na Kehna and it was not banned. Considering the fact that the mobile/laptop used to post the tweet has to be collected from Bengaluru residence of zubair and accused is non co-operate with the police court has granted four days custody of Mr.Zubair on Monday.Delhi High Court has decided to hear his plea on Friday.
