The CBI had registered a case on 9 September,2021 in compliance of order 19 August 2021 of Calcutta High Court and taken investigation on earlier registered FIR at Sonarpur Police Station, District South 24 Parganas on complaint against 16 accused in killing of Haran Adhikari.It is alleged that accused and other had beaten Haran Adhikari and others with bricks,sticks,shovels and copper in front of house of one accused for bursting fire crackers.After the incident the victims were taken to Kashinathpur Hospital from there referred to Baruipur Hospital.Haran Adhikari nephew of complainant,had lost his life while others are bed ridden fighting for Life in the hospital.After investigation CBI filed supplementary chargesheet in court of Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Baruipur against 17 accused,the district and sessions Judge had earlier granted anticipatory bail to 13 accused,CBI had now submitted a petition for cancellation of anticipatory bail in the Calcutta High Court.Based on this the Court has cancelled the bail granted in favour of accused.Calcutta High Court had cancelled anticipatory bail to 13 accused in connection with killing of Haran Adhikari during post poll violence in West Bengal last year.
