CBI officers pressure on residents in coal scam, Calcutta High Court puts a stay on interrogation

An FIR was filed at Bishnupur police station under Diamond Harbour sub-division of South 24-paraganas.A resident of the place says that CBI officers has put a pressure on them and some other people in the name of interrogation in a link with the coal and smuggling cases, residents say that CBI officers have threatened them to give statements according to their instructions and also named Umesh Kumar a CBI officer in the complaint. Accordingly, Calcutta High Court on Wednesday imposed interim stay for 6 weeks on FIR registered by state police against CBI officers for harrassing common public during ongoing probe of coal smuggling in state,as per the orders state police will not be able to take further steps in FIR,which names CBI officer Umesh Kumar as leading the probe.While issuing interim order Justice Bibek Chaudhari observed however the stay would not stop CBI from continuing investigation into coal scam during pendency of instant criminal revision
