Justice Bhimanagouda Sanganagouda Patil, Former Judge Of HC, Appointed As Lokayukta Of Karnataka

The State Government last week informed the Karnataka High Court about the appointment of former judge of the High Court, Bhimanagouda Sanganagouda Patil as the lokayukta of karnataka. A division bench of chief justice ritu taj awasthi and justice Ashok s kinagi was informed about the notification dated june 14, issued by the govt. wherein the governor has appointed the Loyayukta the dtate of karnataka. The petitioner had sought directions to the state government to initiate and finalise the process of appointment of one vacant Lokayukta Post. The notification issued says the recommendation to the governor appointment of Lokayukta was made after consulting the choef justice of the high court of karnataka
