The letter seeks the discontinuation of the e-filing system as per the prior decision to do so after 15 days or by the end of lockdown, whichever was earlier. Apparently, as per the decision the discontinuation was supposed to take place by 4th of June 2021.
The letter mentions that the Registry of Kerala High Court has not taken necessary measures to that end and hence the e-filing system is being carried on which has caused the continuance of both filing systems together is virtually creating a 'digital divide' and consequential problems.
The letter stated that, if the situation continues to go on the High Court bar will be constrained to take appropriate decisions to protect the most genuine interests of our members.
