Why are you not paying salaries to teachers?This is a very strange thing says Delhi High Court

Delhi High Court pulled up East Delhi Municipal Corporation for not paying salaries of teachers in schools for five months and asked them to make attempts for releasing money to them.While terming not paying salaries of teachers is a strange and unfortunate thing,high court warns it will stop salaries of senior officers till the time teachers are paid their wages.Why are you not paying salaries?This is something strange that they haven't got paid for five months a bench of Justice Satish Chandra Sharma and Justice Subramonium Prasad said.Bench further said 'we will pass order to stop salaries of senior officers until teachers get paid, salaries of senior officers are paid and not of these poor people.Municipal Corporation responds saying they were facing crucial fund deficiency and even grade A are not being paid since January.Bench allowed early hearing application of petition by a group of teachers, seeking direction to corporation for payment of salaries and listed the matter for further proceeding on July 22.
